I, Subham Barnawal, am studying in grade 11 at Gyanodaya Vidya Niketan E.M. Secondary School. I am the student who is studying faculty management (BS), and I am a person with an exploratory nature. I always think about how these business organizations make runs and supply their products to the market. Then, I started exploring various industries. I decided to explore the hotel industry.

One day, my business teacher suggested to me that if you wanted to know how the hotel industry runs, you had to go through the Soaltee Hotel of Nepalgunj (Soaltee Westend Premier).Then, I started doing research on the Soaltee Westend Premier of Nepalgunj. This was such an exciting moment for me. I had collected much data from the website of Soaltee Westend Premier, which was provided by my business teacher.

Soaltee Group of Hotels is known for its pioneering role in high end tourism in Nepal. Soaltee Westend Premier is the branch of the Kathmandu-based hotel Soaltee Crown Plaza. Soaltee Westend Premier is the first hotel in Nepalgunj to be certified by Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), and it spans over 87,000 square feet. It is one of the most significant and recognizable landmarks, standing proudly at the west end of Nepal. “Westend Premier” attracts local, international, and other famous personalities. The infrastructure and mechanisms of the hotel have helped it secure two international awards. This hotel has altogether 285 rooms, but there are mainly 80 luxurious rooms and 4000 sq. ft. of beautifully decorated halls. It also has a coffee shop and a Sunset Bar.

Soaltee Westend Premier Hotel’s share capital was Rs. 842.58 million in the fiscal year 2020/21, and it remains the same in the fiscal year 2021/22. This hotel’s expenditure was Rs 626.42 million in the fiscal year 2020/21, and it was increased to Rs. 1035.41 million in the fiscal year 2021/22. The increase in expenditure from the fiscal year 2020/21 to 2021/22 was 65.29%. This hotel’s revenue comes from rooms, bars, casinos, and other enjoyment places too, and its revenue was Rs. 453.93 million in the fiscal year 2020/21, and it was increased to Rs. 1369.12 million in the fiscal year 2021/22. The increase in revenue was 201.62 percent from the fiscal year 2020/21 to 2021/22. It was so amazing to study such topics. I was so excited when I was engaged in this research. I can’t explain everything in this blog about this hotel. As we know, this hotel is also an environment-friendly hotel in Nepalgunj city, which provides us with information that we should protect our environment to live a qualitative life.

At last, this research was so fruitful for me because I gained knowledge about how these big hotels run. This research shows me how to run such big hotels. I am a student of business studies, and this research helps me understand the whole process of doing business. This is such helpful research for me.
